The Window to Rheinland-Pfalz team at the Kaiserslautern Military Community Center announced the arrival of the 2015 issue of the “Calendar of events for the Ramstein and Kaiserslautern area.”
Throughout the past weeks, lots of visitors of the information center have been asking for the popular booklet. This year marks the fifth year the calendar has been published by the City of Ramstein-Miesenbach as a joint venture with several neighboring communities.
Over 28 pages, there are listings for more than 120 local events accompanied by a variety of pictures. The calendar provides a monthly overview of city and village festivals, fairs, markets, concerts and shows, including short descriptions of the events in English. The booklet depicts a choice of offers the local tourism representatives consider particularly interesting for English-speaking visitors.
The calendar covers the most important events in the Ramstein and Kaiserslautern areas, the union community of Landstuhl and Bruchmühlbach-Miesau, the holiday region of Lake Ohmbach/Glantal and the Donnersberg region. A map of the area was included to help locate the venues. The dates of bike event days, volksmarches and culinary hikes, as well as medieval markets and Christmas markets, are listed as well. Those interested in cultural events, sports and family events will find something to awaken their interest.
Also in the 2015 issue of the calendar is information about Rheinland-Pfalz-Tag, the state fair of Rhineland-Palatinate that takes place from June 26 to 28 in Ramstein-Miesenbach. During the event, visitors can enjoy a festival atmosphere with musical entertainment and other performances. The highlight of the event is a festival parade scheduled for June 28.
The printed version of the 2015 event calendar is now available at the Window to Rheinland-Pfalz information counter at the KMCC. The brochures are distributed for free and will also be available at the German-American Community Office in Kaiserslautern and at local tourist information centers.
The calendar can be downloaded at www.ramstein-gateway.com. On the English Window to Rheinland-Pfalz Web page visitors can find information about the region as well as further details about local events, which are updated weekly.
