21st TSC commander nominated for appointment to rank of major general

The U.S. president nominated the commander of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command for appointment to the rank of major general, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.

Brig. Gen. Aundre F. Piggee, a native of Stamps, Ark., assumed command of the 21st TSC Aug. 25 in Kaiserslautern.

A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Piggee served in Germany from January 1986 to April 1988 as a direct support maintenance officer and commander of the 77th Maintenance Company, both in the 85th Maintenance Battalion, V Corps, respectively.

His previous duty assignments include plans officer, G3, 13th Corps Support Command and III Corps, Fort Hood, Texas, in 1994 and 1995.

Piggee’s deployments include commander of the 15th Forward Support Bn., 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, during Operation Joint Forge, Bosnia-Herzegovina from 1998 to 2000 and commander of the 15th Sustainment Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, between June 2005 and February 2008.

Piggee served as deputy assistant chief of staff, C4 and assistant chief of staff, J4, at the United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command and U.S. Forces Korea from September 2009 to August 2011 before assuming command of the 21st TSC.
