Army Brig. Gen. Aundre F. Piggee, 21st Theater Sustainment Command commander, had the opportunity to visit and learn about Team Ramstein Nov. 23.
“The partnership between the 86th AW and the 21st TSC benefits from continued engagement at all levels,” said Brig. Gen. C.K. Hyde, 86th Airlift Wing commander. “We will continue to learn and build upon the relationship to ensure our Soldiers and Airmen are equipped with the tools necessary to complete our missions.”
Piggee received a tour of the air traffic control tower and short mission briefs from Col. Kip Turain, 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing commander, Col. John Murphy, 435th Air Ground Operations Wing vice commander, and Hyde.
“Individually and collectively, you provide a great capability,” Piggee said. “Just phenomenal. This is quite a mission.”
The visit provided commanders with the opportunity to see how their units work together in everyday missions.
“We have a great partnership with the 21st TSC,” Turain said. “We look forward to continuing this in the coming years.”
This visit is only the beginning. The next AGOW open house is on Piggee’s radar as he hopes to become acquainted with more of Ramstein’s missions, he said.
Piggee hosted Hyde at the 21st TSC, headquartered in Kaiserslautern, Sept. 21.
