A free fall festival featuring a haunted house and trunk-or-treat is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Enlisted Club parking lot Oct. 26.
KMC families and kids are invited to dress up and partake in costume contests from 1:30-2:30 p.m. A pumpkin decorating contest is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This year’s much anticipated trunk-or-treat is slated to begin at 2:30 p.m. In the past, trunk-or-treat coincided with Halloween, but leaders are excited to combine it with the weekend Fall Fest.
“We are having trunk-or-treat in conjunction with [the festival],” said Melissa Wesley, Child and Youth Services flight chief at the 86th Force Support Squadron. “We wanted to offer something a little bit more interactive, and offer a lot more to the community.”
The festival will include a free photo booth, carnival games, and prizes.
Guests can leave with a free souvenir gluhwein mug and reusable shopping bag, while supplies last. Food from private vendors, including hamburgers, bratwurst, and other goods will be available for purchase.
“Fall Fest is an opportunity for the 86th FSS to bring loads of fun activities for the Airmen and families of the KMC,” Wesley said.
Parking for attendees will still be available in half of the E-Club parking lot, as well as across the street and areas near the Southside Fitness Center.
The festival will take place rain or shine, so plan accordingly.
