Independence Day Celebration on the Rock

USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Family and MWR Community Expo

The USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Family and MWR are hosting a Community Expo Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Family and MWR Special Events Center, Bldg. 237 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks. This event, open to the Kaiserslautern Military Community, will ensure that community members can engage with each agency and gain a comprehensive understanding of the resources available to them while becoming more acquainted with the local area and what it has to offer. Loud & Proud Comedy Show (+Karaoke after)

Ben MacLean set to headline the Loud & Proud Comedy Show July 19 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. The show will also feature CeeKay Brown and Jamie MacDonald. Volunteer Youth Sports Coaches

Volunteer youth sports coaches are needed for the Baumholder Youth Sports fall season. Coaches are needed for soccer, ages 5-15, cheer, ages 5-15, and flag football, ages 7-11. Summer Strikes: 9-pin No-Tap Tournament

The Strikers Bowling Center has a Summer Strikes: 9-Pin No-Tap Tournament Aug. 30 from noon to 3 p.m. at the bowling center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. Cost is $50 per bowler, includes lineage and shoe rental. Reserve by Aug. 28 either by signing the log at the bowling center or calling 0611 143 531 2831 or 314 531 2831. New Army Library System

Exciting News! All Army Family and MWR Libraries have transitioned to a new system! Strike for Freedom Bowling Celebration

The Striker’s Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder, is offering a Strike for Freedom Celebration July 5 & 6 from noon to 10 p.m. on Friday and 2 to 10 p.m. on Saturday. This celebration is for all ages and showcases discounted bowling rates of $15 per hour, half-price shoe rentals, and “Red Pin” bowling all day. Baumholder Fall Start Smart registration for ages 3 to 4, is July 8 to Aug. 18. Sports offered are soccer, T-ball, and flag football. Start Smart is a Child/Parent interactive program led by a CYS Sports & Fitness Specialist. Cost is $30. Registration for fall youth sports for the Baumholder community is July 8 to Aug. 18. Sports offered are: soccer, ages 5-15, $65; Flag Football, Ages 7-11, $65; cheerleading, ages 5-15, $65; and, swimming clinic, ages 3-15, $55. Sports Physicals/ Health Assessments must be on file and valid to Nov. 9 to participate. Henry IV: Shakespeare in the Park

The Award-Winning KMC Onstage is thrilled to present a special 90-minute live production of Henry IV, parts 1 & 2 outdoors July 12 to 14 at Pulaski Park on Pulaski Barracks. Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation is offering “Got a case of the Monday’s…Come ride it out with us!” weekly bike rides every Monday until Aug. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. throughout multiple trails, ranging from 10KM to 25KM. Trip departs and returns at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation, Bldg. 2905 on Pulaski Barracks. Cost is $5 to rent a standard bike or $10 for an E-Bike. If you are registered for the IMCOM Bike Challenge, this ride is a great opportunity to earn miles/kms towards your 1000KM! Free Dance Lessons at Armstrong’s Club

New open session of free dance lessons every Wednesday now to July 17. The dance class starts at 7 p.m. There will not be dance lessons from July 24 to Aug. 7, due to summer break. IMCOM-Europe Cycling Challenge

The 2023 IMCOM Europe Cycling Challenge is happening until Aug. 31.  Participants must sign up through Baumholder or Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation. Registration fee is $50. Baumholder Fitness Center Zumba Class

Red Pin Bowling

Red Pin Bowling happens every Friday from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. Bring Your Own Board Game at Strikers Bowling Center

The Pinsetters’ Pub has Bring Your Own Board Game every Friday at 5 p.m. until closing. This is a free event and preregistration is not required. All gamers, 18 and older, are welcome. Food is available at Shawingz until 9 p.m. There are large and small tables provided for game play, and fabulous music to provide the right atmosphere for playing.
