SPONSORSHIP
How important is your squadron’s sponsorship program? It has been said that the impression you form in the first seven to 10 days after your arrival will remain with you for your entire assignment. So, how important is sponsorship? Very important.
Contact them early and do not rely just on e-mails. Find out about their needs and be available and responsive to their questions. It sounds so simple, but a lot of sponsors fail to place much importance on their responsibilities. Take it serious and make sure that those you sponsor actually feel welcome. And, if you are sponsoring an Airman straight from tech school, remember, this is their first true impression of the Air Force.
Construction
LANDSTUHL CONSTRUCTION
The State of Rheinland-Pfalz is planning the extension of Langwiedener Strasse, the road just outside of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center’s Gate 2. The project will include three phrases. The first phase began Feb. 8 and will last about two to three weeks. A detour has been established to enter and exit LRMC. The second and third phases will collectively last a couple of months.
