Mission: Serving Our Wounded has teamed up with the athletic club Langlaufgemeinschaft Sickingenstadt Landstuhl to put on a German-American Friendship Run March 20 in Landstuhl.
MSOW is a private organization based on Ramstein dedicated to serving wounded warriors who are receiving treatment at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. The purpose of the alliance between MSOW and the athletic club is twofold: to promote and strengthen the ties the American military community has with the German host nation through friendly competition and to help raise funds for MSOW, which dedicates 100 percent of all its funds to wounded warriors.
The course will be a 7.8 kilometer run with an altitude change of more than 1,000 feet beginning at Sickingensporthalle in Landstuhl and ending at Nanstein Castle.
There will be eight different age categories for both men and women. More than 350 German nationals are expected to compete. Registration is required for participation in the run. Registration costs €15 or $20 per participant. An event T-shirt is included in the cost. After March 12, the late entry fee is €20 or $25 per participant.
Registration forms are available by e-mailing Marcel Flores at
