A traditional Easter market will take place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Niederkirchen Sunday.

“Niederkirchen is always worth a trip when the Association for the Advancement of German-French Partnership sponsors its annual Easter market at Westpfalzhalle (community hall) in Niederkirchen,” said Jürgen Feind, the association’s executive committee member. “Each year visitors are coming from all over to admire and buy unique and fascinating Easter decorations of all kinds.”

More than 30 exhibitors will display and sell their art and craft items in Westpfalzhalle, which will be colorfully decorated with flowers and Easter items. They will offer hand painted eggs, handmade wooden items, Easter plants, baskets, jewelry, silk paintings, window hangings, embroideries, tatting and turning works, teddy bears, ceramics, silhouettes and products made of natural stones.
Easter eggs, made of different techniques, might turn into popular collectors’ items.

Also, vendors from Niederkirchen’s French sister city, Grancey le Chateau, will be
present to show off their special products.

“We also take good care of hungry visitors. We will serve delicacies including French food specialties as well as selected wines from France and Germany,” Mr. Feind said.

There will also be coffee and cake at reasonable prices. Children can take part in a raffle.

Admission fee is €1. Children under 14 are admitted free.

Niederkirchen is located north of Otterberg, past Schallodenbach.
