Energy Tip of the Week – October 11, 2024

With the heating season fast approaching, and newcomers joining the KMC. We would like to highlight key facts about their new heating system:

The heating costs increase with the room temperature setting. Heating costs rise by around 6 percent for each additional °Celsius / °Fahrenheit. Every degree less helps save energy and costs.

It has been proposed that 18-20 °C (64-68 °F) could be a comfortable indoor temperature for the general population.

As a tip: Set the room thermostat/radiator valve dial to 2.5 (18°C / 64°F) as a starting point, and then increase by 1 degree each day until you find a temperature your family is comfortable with, taking into consideration infants and / or elderly family members.
