Family & MWR Newcomer’s Scavenger Challenge
The USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Family & MWR is hosting a Newcomer’s Scavenger Challenge for the Baumholder Military Community. Participants will receive a special passport listing all the programs, and can collect stamps at each facility visited to participate with a chance to win a $150 MWR Gift Card. Karaoke Night
Karaoke night happens the second and fourth Friday of every month starting Feb. 14, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. This is an 18+ event. Discover Unique Finds at the Valentine’s Bazaar!
Celebrate Valentine’s weekend at the Valentine’s Bazaar, a one-stop shopping destination filled with treasures for everyone! Hosted by Family & MWR, the event will take place from Friday, Feb. 14, through Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Special Events Center, Bldg. 237, on Rhine Ordnance Barracks. Shopping Hours: Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Sunday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. There will be a multitude of vendors offering everything from pottery, antiques, wine, cheese, jewelry, and so much more. All prices in U.S. dollars, with only debit and credit cards accepted. Open to U.S. ID cardholders only. Strollers are welcome. Valentine’s Day Celebration Dinner at the Armstrong’s Club
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with that “certain someone special” in the grand atmosphere of the Chandelier Ballroom Feb. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. Cost is 45 Euros per person. Live Music will add to the grand atmosphere. Reservations can be made until Feb. 12. Seating is at 6 p.m. and features table service, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Prix Fixe (a meal consisting of several courses served at a total fixed price). There are three choices for the main course. Pool Tournament at Landstuhl Community Club
Landstuhl Community Club hosts a pool tournament every Friday from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the club, Bldg. 3780 on Landstuhl Post. No entry fee. This is for patrons 18 and older. Prizes: first place, $50, second place, $25, and third place, $10. Sign up starts at 6 p.m.
Start Smart Registration
Registration for Start Smart baseball and soccer for ages 3 and 4 is Feb. 3 to March 21 or when slots are full. Cost is $30. Start Smart is a parent/child interactive program lead by a Sports and Fitness Specialist. Start Smart teaches children the skills they need to play organized sports in a FUN, non-competitive environment in six, 45-minute sessions. Spring Sports Onsite Registration
Landstuhl Youth Sports announces Special Opening onsite registration for Spring Youth Sports on Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Landstuhl School Age Center, Bldg. 3851 on Landstuhl Post. Patrons must have a current CYS registration and Sports Physical good through June 15, 2025, on file. Sports Physicals that do not comply can be substituted with proof of an appointment slip for an upcoming appointment. Please note that CYS new registrations or reregistration’s can’t be done on this day and must be done at Parent Central Services at ROB prior to this onsite sports registration. Youth Sports Spring Registration for youth ages 5 to 15 is Feb. 1 to 28 (or until teams are full). Sports offered are Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Golf and Track & Field. Practice locations are Landstuhl, Sembach and Kaiserslautern) and vary by sport. Cost is $65 & up. A Health Assessment/ Sports Physical good through June 15 is required. Bows and Bowties Ball
The Baumholder Child and Youth Services are hosting a Bows and Bowties Ball Feb. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. There will be music, activities and light snacks. This event is age appropriate for 6 weeks through 5th grade. Children must attend with a supervising adult. The cost is $5 per child through WebTrac or payment at Parent Central Services. Registration for this event is Jan. 13 to Feb. 10. Auditions for A Chorus Line
The Award-Winning KMC Onstage is hosting auditions for “A Chorus Line” Feb. 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. at KMC Onstage Mainstage, Bldg. 3232 on Kleber Kaserne. “A Chorus Line” is the beloved musical about what it means to create theatre. Auditions are open to ages 16 and older. KMC Onstage is casting for roles that are male, female, LGBTQ+, African American, “Latinx,” Asian American, and Caucasian. Vocal Audition: Come prepared with 32 bars (30-60 seconds) or less of music to sing. Sheet music, or prerecorded tracks on a mobile device are fine for backing. Winter Chai Specials happening at Baumholder, Landstuhl and Rhine Ordnance Barracks Java Cafés now to April 10. Winter Chai specials include Iced Chai Tea with Oat Latte and Chai Tea with Oat Latte. Armstrong’s Club announces freshly smoked Brisket & Ribs pickup and takeout service starting Jan. 10. Youth Auditions: Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon
Auditions for the KMC Onstage Spring YOUTH Performance Class show, “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” Jan. 13 and 14 at 4:30 p.m. at the KMC Onstage Studio, Community Activity Center, Bldg. 3109 on Daenner Kaserne. Auditions open to ages 10 to 18. All children are welcome to audition for this hilarious retelling of all your favorite fairy tales! No cost to audition, but those selected will need to register for the Youth Performance Class (tuition $95/month, financial aid available) No experience necessary, casting multiple roles. Weekly Yoga Classes-Tuesday & Thursday
Two new yoga classes are now available in the Baumholder community. Every Tuesday, 6:30 -7:45 p.m., enjoy Soft & Slow Yoga, and every Thursday, 6:30-7:45 p.m., Yoga Balance. Landstuhl Library Baby Brillance Storytime
Baby Brilliance Storytimes returns in September and will be held every Thursday of the month starting at 11 a.m. at the Landstuhl Library, Bldg. 3810 on Landstuhl Post. This is a fun storytime for ages birth to 18 months with songs, fingerplays and more. Signups are not required. Storytimes will not take place on Federal Holidays. Strikers Bowling Center Duty Bowl & Two for Tuesday
Duty Bowl for service members in uniform is only $5 per hour and per lane every day at the Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. All Soldiers “duty” bowling must be in duty uniform. Two for Tuesday special will be $2 per game and $2 shoe rentals from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Tuesday. Dungeons & Dragons at Baumholder Library
Go on adventures with an intrepid crew of heroes with Baumholder Library’s Dungeons & Dragons offered every third Tuesday of the month from 4 to 5 p.m. This is for ages 9 to 14. Players can use their imagination and creativity to build the story and move the game forward. Seats are limited and registration is required.
