Spring Bazaar: Your Shopping Haven
Join Family & MWR for the Spring Bazaar, a shopping event you won’t want to miss! Hip Hop Step
Hip Hop Step classes are at the Kleber Physical Fitness Center (Bldg. 3235) on Kleber Kaserne, and Landstuhl PFC (Bldg. 3720) on Landstuhl Post. Hip Hop Step is Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at the Landstuhl PFC, and Tuesday and Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Kleber PFC. Ninjutsu Classes
Ninjutsu Classes will be held at Sembach Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 105 on Sembach Kaserne, and Kleber Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 3235 on Kleber Kaserne. Class times for classes at Kleber are every Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Class times at Sembach are every Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Ninjutsu is a traditional Japanese Martial Art focusing on movement, self-defense and strategy. Bookmark Decorating Contest at the Baumholder Library
The Baumholder library is hosting a Bookmark Decorating Contest for the entire month. From March 1 to 16, patrons can submit bookmark designs by age categories: 0-5, 6-9, 10-12, 13-17, and 18+. From March 17-31, bookmark designs will be voted on by the community. Winners from each age category will get their bookmarks printed, and bookmarks given away at the library. Read Across America Spirit Week/Dr. Seuss’ Birthday
Join Baumholder Library to celebrate Read Across America Week beginning on Monday, March 3 and capping off the week Friday, March 7, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., with a belated Dr. Seuss’ birthday event. Stop in for Storytime and a photo opportunity with the Cat in the Hat, grab a cupcake and some popcorn, enjoy some fun activities, and take a craft to-go kit home. Beginner’s Crochet
Discover the Baumholder Library’s fun crochet classes for beginners, ages 15 and older. This free class covers all the basics over four weeks and at the end, patrons will have created a wonderful handmade piece they can be proud of. These classes are for the absolute beginner and include everything you need for the class. Class will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. during the following dates: March 5, 12, 19 and 26; June 4, 11, 18 and 25; and, September 3, 10, 17, 24. Class size is limited so be sure to sign up early. Run The Rock 5K Fun Run
Baumholder Intramural Sports is hosting a Run The Rock 5K Fun Run March 22 starting at 9 a.m. starting at the Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. Runners must report to the Admin/Registration Table between 8 and 8:50 am to verify payment, record data and receive race number. This event is open for the entire family. Thursday Night Comedy Show
A rising comedy star with a hit Radio 4 Series, Njambi McGrath, headlines the Thursday Comedy Show March 20 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. Host is Erin Crouch. The show will feature special guests. This is an 18+ event. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $15 at the door. Payment can be done with credit and debit cards or U.S dollars. Euros are not accepted. Dance Audition Workshop
Local choreographer Letrice Titus will offer a dance audition workshop Feb. 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the KMC Onstage Main Stage, Bldg. 3232 on Kleber Kaserne. This workshop is to prepare auditionees for the auditions for the KMC Onstage production of “A Chorus Line!” This workshop is open to ages 14 and older, who have any level of dance experience. Cost is $45. School Age Summer Camps
Registration is now open for the Army Family and MWR Child and Youth Services School Age Programs’ Vision 2025 “Shaping Our Future” Summer Camps. The program offers nine weeks of care services from June 16 to Aug 11. These camps are for School Age Centers on Wetzel Kaserne, Landstuhl Post or Sembach Kaserne. Books and Brews Silent Reading Party
The Baumholder Library invites the community to the very first monthly Books and Brews Silent Reading Party for those 18 and older at the Warrior Zone starting Monday, Feb. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Warrior Zone, Bldg. 8218 on Smith Barracks. Spring German Hunting Course in Baumholder & Kaiserslautern
A spring German hunting course will be held Feb. 26 to May 10 in Kaiserslautern, and March 1 to May 17 in Baumholder. Registration is now until the first day of class. The German Hunting Course is an intensive program. Cost is $250 and membership fees. Open to hunters ages 18 and older, who are U.S. citizens/I.D. cardholders. Youth Sports Spring Registration
Youth Sports Spring Registration for youth ages 5 to 15 is now to Feb. 28 (or until teams are full). Sports offered are Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Golf and Track & Field. Practice locations are Landstuhl, Sembach and Kaiserslautern) and vary by sport. Cost is $65 & up. A Health Assessment/ Sports Physical good through June 15 is required. Two new yoga classes are now available in the Baumholder community. Every Tuesday, 6:30 -7:45 p.m., enjoy Soft & Slow Yoga, and every Thursday, 6:30-7:45 p.m., Yoga Balance. Landstuhl Library Baby Brillance Storytime
Baby Brilliance Storytimes returns in September and will be held every Thursday of the month starting at 11 a.m. at the Landstuhl Library, Bldg. 3810 on Landstuhl Post. This is a fun storytime for ages birth to 18 months with songs, fingerplays and more. Signups are not required. Storytimes will not take place on Federal Holidays. Strikers Bowling Center Duty Bowl & Two for Tuesday
Duty Bowl for service members in uniform is only $5 per hour and per lane every day at the Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. All Soldiers “duty” bowling must be in duty uniform. Two for Tuesday special will be $2 per game and $2 shoe rentals from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Tuesday. Dungeons & Dragons at Baumholder Library
Go on adventures with an intrepid crew of heroes with Baumholder Library’s Dungeons & Dragons offered every third Tuesday of the month from 4 to 5 p.m. This is for ages 9 to 14. Players can use their imagination and creativity to build the story and move the game forward. Seats are limited and registration is required.
