ORE effects services

Members of Team Ramstein will soon be testing their deployment readiness and capabilities in the May operational readiness exercise, which will impact some customer service facilities and roads.

Scheduled May 17 to 24, the exercise will examine more in-depth procedures to prepare for the upcoming operational readiness inspection in September.

Due to the focus of the exercise, various offices will have limited services available during this time. Please schedule your appointments and routine business accordingly.

Additionally, from May 21 to 24, several roads in the southeast corner of Ramstein (Mitchell Avenue, primarily) will be blocked off as part of the ORE. Signs will be clearly posted to direct individuals to detour routes around the base, however anyone needing access to buildings in the “exercise area” may be required to park and walk a short distance.

Ramstein Inspections and Readiness (CVI) will brief players every hour from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 14 in the Hercules Theater. Included in the briefing will be required equipment inventory, parking and bussing plans, and exercise rules. The briefing will also be available electronically on the CVI Sharepoint site.

Legal Office: Emergency legal assistance only. Call 480-5911 for assistance. Walk-ins will also be seen if emergency assistance is warranted.

Flight Records: The 86th Operations Support Squadron HARM (Flight Records) will have limited manning. They will attempt to maintain normal office hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but encourage customers to call 480-5664 or e-mail  86oss.fltrecords@ramstein.af.mil before visiting.
