The 405th Army Field Support Brigade recognized the communications security reset team from Tobyhanna Army Depot, Penn., at Rhine Ordnance Barracks Sept. 22.
During the brief ceremony at the brigade’s COMSEC fielding and staging facility, Col. Ronald Green, commander of the 405th AFSB, presented commander’s coins to Eugene Davis, Rollin Ronemus, Joseph Gallagher, Pete Belisle and Frank Freda.
“The team from Tobyhanna completed a turn-in mission for our brigade the week of Sept. 20,” said Tony Rotti, the COMSEC manager for the 405th AFSB. “In only five days, the team inventoried, packed and processed more than 1,300 pieces of COMSEC equipment that had been previously identified for turn-in or repair.
Colonel Green was particularly impressed with the speed with which the mission was executed.
“For a six-man team to process such a large amount of equipment in only one week is very impressive,” he said. “I’m proud to recognize these members of the U.S. Army Materiel Command team for a job well done. Our COMSEC mission is essential for us to keep our Soldiers equipped with the best materiel possible, and successful missions such as the one executed by the Tobyhanna team help us immeasurably.”
