A pre-Christmas arts and crafts exhibition will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Haus des Bürgers in Ramstein-Miesenbach.

“Each year, spaces for this popular exhibition are completely booked out,” said Stefan Layes from the Ramstein-Miesenbach union community public relations office. “More than 50 hobby artists and crafters will present their creative works in the foyer and different rooms of the culture center.”

Visitors will have the chance to admire and buy items made by different techniques. Presentations will include the use of silk and batik techniques, as well as the artistic painting of china. Customers can determine how the artist should paint the piece of porcelain they have chosen.

The traditional and modern floristry on display will create a wonderful Christmas atmosphere.

Decoration items made of glass, porcelain, wood and other material will be available for sale. Shoppers might find the right Christmas present, such as jewelry made of precious metal and pearls, or works made of paper.

At their tables artists will demonstrate how they work and handle different materials. They will knit, sew and do other handicrafts. Items made of stone or ceramics might turn into the right accessories for somebody’s house or backyard.

A tea store will offer various products, including spices needed for certain Christmas recipes.

“Like in previous years, there will be a raffle again,” Mr. Layes said. “All proceeds will go to the Ramstein-Miesenbach Hospice Aid.”

Visitors can take breaks in the cafeteria and taste fresh waffles and a large variety of homemade cakes.

Opening hours are from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
