The final stage of preparations for the NATO Music Festival on June 11 has started. The joint organizing team of Headquarters Allied Air Command Ramstein, the City of Kaiserslautern and the Bundeswehr Military Music Service have prepared special offers and packages for the visitors of this major traditional event in the Fritz-Walter Stadium in Kaiserslautern.
To purchase your tickets for the NATO Music Festival, stop by at the Tourist Information Office on Fruchthallstraße or call 0631-365-2316/2317. You may also call Ticket Online at 01805-4470 or online at www.ticketonline.de.
Advanced booking prices range from €14 to €25 (€16 to €27 on the night). Discounts and special rates are available for wheelchair users, youth, school children, students and others. On the evening of June 11, box offices will be open inside the south stand and in front of the north stand at parking “Ost” starting from 4:30 p.m.
“We are very pleased with the number of tickets sold so far,” said Alexander Heß, who represents the City of Kaiserslautern on the organizing team. “The VIP packages are in great demand.”
With these VIP tickets, visitors purchase excellent seats in the north stand, a substantial buffet at level 1900 and parking directly at the stadium.
“Another option is the unique chance to enjoy the NATO Music Festival in one of the famous boxes of the Fritz-Walter Stadium,” Mr. Heß said. “VIP box seats are also available upon request.”
Make sure you get your tickets for the traditional NATO Music Festival right away. Be a part of the event when famous German rock and blues singer Joy Fleming and her band, several hundred military musicians from six NATO nations, and Austria and the Bundeswehr Guard Battalion thrill and fascinate the audience.
In addition to the German Naval Band Baltic from Kiel, the Oberösterreich Military Band, the Royal Belgian Navy Band, the Latvian Armed Forces band and the Polish Air Force Band will be on show. Another highlight will be the appearance of Joy Fleming together with the Big Band of the Luxembourg Armed Forces. And, finally, no edition of the NATO Music Festival would be complete without the awesome performance of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band.
For the first time, a special service is made available to all festival-goers ― parking directly at the stadium. Parking tickets are €5 and can be purchased at the Tourist Information Office. Remaining parking capacities will be sold on the night of the festival. Those who do not want to arrive by car can use the park and ride service. This service is offered starting from 4:30 p.m. from all known park and ride parking sites.
“We are glad to offer these special services to the NATO Music Festival visitors,” said Mr. Heß, who said he is also looking forward to the event. “Free festival brochures will be distributed to visitors at the entrances.”
These premium programs contain detailed information about the night and the bands.
Likewise, Lt. Col. Thomas Dillschneider, co-organizer for NATO’s HQ Allied Air Command Ramstein, is looking forward to this unique event and the many performers.
“We are proud to present a varied program again this year with outstanding international bands,” he said. “I am sure we offer something for every musical taste.”
Another first is the pin specifically created for the 2011 NATO Music Festival. Pins are on sale for €2 at the Tourist Information Office.

The Tourist Information Office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The office will be open until 4 p.m. June 11.
“Make sure you do not miss this event,” Colonel Dillschneider said. “After all, it only takes place every other year. And do not forget that all proceeds go to charitable projects.”
