The Kaiserslautern Military Community All Stars, swept through another victory Friday over the Baden-Württemberg All Stars, with a dominating score of 13-1.
The second win, aided by a two-run homerun by centerfielder, Daniel Harrington, ended after just three and a half innings “I’m really excited, it felt awesome to know that we are heading to Kutno [Poland],” said Daniel. “It was really fun the last time our team went and their fields are great.” This last win puts the KMC All Stars in a hot seat at the European Championship in Kutno, Poland.

The start of the championship is scheduled for July 21, and this year marks the third year KMC makes an appearance. The winning team from Kutno goes on to represent Europe in the Little League World Series.

“I have a lot of confidence in my team, if they all play to the best of their ability, we can win this,” said head coach Gary Harrington. “These boys work hard and play hard on the field; I am proud of what they have accomplished so far and look forward to what they will bring to the field in Poland.”

In the attempts leading up to the fourth inning, Baden-Württemberg pitcher Halil-Ismail “Izzy” Ciftci couldn’t find the strike zone and allowed KMC to pick off two, four and seven runs off the first, second and third innings respectively. In Thursday’s game Daniel Harrington pitched through six innings.
Out of 76 pitches he allowed only a single hit and threw more than 40 strikes, retiring 14 players back to their dugout.

He was still strong enough throughout the six innings to belt out two, two-run home runs. This lead the KMC All Stars to a 6-0 win.
The KMC All Stars have collectively smashed their opponents in the last five games, knocking out 79 runs against their opponent’s five.
