The relationship between the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, headquartered in Kaiserslautern, and the 86th Airlift Wing, located on Ramstein, continues to flourish, which was evident during a meeting between the two commanding generals Sept. 21 on Panzer Kaserne.

Brig. Gen. Aundre F. Piggee, commanding general of the 21st TSC, and Brig. Gen. C.K. Hyde, commander of the 86th AW, took the opportunity to become acquainted and discuss ways to further enhance the KMC. Both commanding generals recently took command of their respective units within the last month.

“We both reaffirmed our commitment to continue to improve the KMC community, work as a team and continue to collaborate on challenges that impact all Soldiers, Airmen, civilians and family members while improving the quality of life for all members of our community,” said Piggee after the meeting.

The visit also provided an opportunity for Command Sgt. Maj. James E. Spencer, command sergeant major of the 21st TSC, and Chief Master Sgt. Zefrem A. Smith, command chief master sergeant of the 86th AW, to touch base on issues affecting the KMC.
