Since November 2011, Ramstein High School’s JROTC core has been preparing for its unit evaluation. Col. Leon Stamm, the instructor for the Kaiserslautern JROTC program, evaluated instructor and cadet performances throughout the school day.

For the unit evaluation, C/Master Sgt. Lance Ericson marched all second-year cadets in the gym. When all cadets had fallen out of formation, they all congratulated him on a job well done.

After evaluating the performance of cadets, Stamm gave students a chance to ask questions or just have friendly conversation.

As always, when the bell rings class has come to an end, right? Wrong.

When the final lunch bell rang, class was only getting started for two of Ramstein’s senior JROTC cadets. Briefings officer C/Col. Josh Randal and Group Commander C/Col. Nathan Priddy gave the core briefing to Stamm, principal Gregory Hatch, assistant principal Dr. Barriett Smith, and both JROTC instructors, retired Sgt. Tom Speller and retired Maj. Don Bradley.

For their hard work throughout the school year, Randal and Priddy received the Outstanding Cadet Performance Award.
