Lead vocalist for hard-rock band KoRn, Jonathan Davis, visited Ramstein March 16 to sign autographs and tour the base.

Davis thanked the troops and the base for allowing him the opportunity to visit.
“I’ve always loved the military; and I’m just glad to be here to show my appreciation for what they do for us,” said Davis.

Davis’ first stop was Explosive Ordnance Disposal where they allowed him to see what they do on a daily basis and even try out some of their equipment.
“I’m really into this stuff and I’ve always wanted to be in the military; but being in the band really worked out for me,” said Davis.

Next on the tour was the fire station, where Airmen showed him around and gave him the chance to see what it was like to be a firefighter.

“We had just gotten back from a call and we were told he was here, and we were very surprised because we don’t usually have celebrities at the fire station. We showed him the different trucks and even let him sit in one while we shot water out of the turret,” said Airman 1st Class Anthony Roberts. “He just had a big smile on his face and a thumbs up. Overall he said it was really cool.”

After that, they headed over to the Kaiserslautern Military Community center where he signed autographs and took pictures with fans. People lined up out the door for the chance to meet Davis and show their gratitude for his many talents.
“It was a really great opportunity to meet him. He was very polite,” said Ashley McNamara, a long time fan of KoRn. “He humored me and signed my stomach as well as a CD I brought with me which is now hanging up on my wall.”

The multi-platinum artist also visited the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center to meet with wounded warriors to let them know how grateful he is for their service.
“I just want to say thanks for having me on the base,” said Davis. “And I really appreciate what you all do for us back at home.”
