This week I would like to focus on two programs:
Ramstein Caring for People focus groups: This event is sponsored by the Ramstein Integrated Delivery System. This event is open to all members of the KMC and registration is not required. This is an opportunity for community members to address any issues and concerns they might have. There will be six focus groups: family support, deployment support, spouse communication, health and wellness, school support and single Airmen.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Ramstein School Age Program. For more information, call the A&FRC at 480-5100 or 06371-47-5100.
Prepaid phone drop: The start-up costs of moving to a new location can be exorbitant and families frequently feel pressured to make decisions about where to live, what Internet and cell phone companies to subscribe to, etc.
We want to implement a new service to our community by asking Airmen and family members to bring their prepaid cell phones to the Ramstein Airman & Family Readiness Center.
We all remember what a relief it was to finally have a phone and to be able to call family members in the states.
Many of our families have financial burdens due to the PCS, and our goal would be to provide them with a means to communicate with their friends, families and unit members prior to making a long-term commitment to a phone service.
If you are no longer using your prepaid phone, remove all personal information and bring the phone, charger and number to the A&FRC. For more information, call the A&FRC at 480-5100 or 06371-47-5100.
