The KMC’s Pulaski Park was alive with activity Friday when the 21st Theater Support Command held its Organization Day.
The annual event provides Soldiers, their families and the community an outlet to celebrate what is essentially the 21st TSC’s birthday party.
“It’s an opportunity for all members of the unit, Soldiers and civilians alike, to bring their loved ones in to mingle with the people that make the KMC so great,” said Sgt. Abimeal Torres, 21st TSC personnel readiness NCO.
More than 500 people attended the event, and there was no problem finding willing participants for activities.
Adults formed teams to play basketball, softball, volleyball and horseshoes. Children’s activities included sack- and three-legged races, face painting and soccer kick, to hide-and-seek, tag, hoola-hoop, time dash and duck-duck-goose.
Most of the children, and some adults, found a bit of time to take advantage of the Whopper Hopper, a huge, soft, inflatable room that offers the opportunity to romp and bounce around safely.
There was no shortage of food at the event.
“Everyone should enjoy themselves today, and no one should have any trouble finding something good to eat,” said Master Sgt. Donald Cleveland, the Food Service NCOIC at the event.
