***image1***Russell B. Hall, U.S. Army Installation Management Agency European Region’s director, saw with his own eyes Monday what’s happening with the Army KMC communities.
“I think the 415th Base Support Battalion and the KMC have got a great operation ongoing here,” said Mr. Hall, who is responsible for all facets of support for Army families from drivers’ licenses to child care to force protection. “In fact, the 415th BSB ranks in the top five out of the 15 BSBs that I have, and I’m very proud of all the men and women who build quality of life for our constitutes living in the Kaiserslautern area.”
Mr. Hall was here with the U.S. Army Europe Commanding General Gen. B.B. Bell touring 415th BSB’s youth and child care development programs at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, listening to the concerns of Family Readiness Group leaders and volunteers, and meeting with Rear Detachment Commanders.
They also visited wounded Soldiers at the Medical Transit Company in Bldg. 3210, Kleber Kaserne, which the 415th BSB and LRMC made a reality December 2003. Then they checked out procedures at the 415th BSB’s Central Processing Facility, Bldg. 3245 also on Kleber Kaserne.
“The KMC is one of our major industrial hubs where we are providing a tremendous amount of support for this war effort and for our Soldiers who are deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq,” said Mr. Hall. “The leadership here from the 21st Theater Support Command all the way down to the individuals working in our child development centers is pulling together as a team to make sure that our Soldiers who are deployed and their families are taken care of.”
The U.S. Army IMA-E is one of seven regional offices created Oct. 1, 2002 as part of an Army-wide initiative to focus management of Army installations around the world under one organization. In Germany, IMA-E provides support to 57,000 Soldiers, 74,100 family members, 12,700 government civilians and 12,600 local nationals.
