KMC Voter’s Corner – Finding ways to make your vote count!

***image1***Q: Is there still time to send my ballot?

A: Yes, the Defense Department has authorized military post offices to use Express Mail for ballots mailed next week. Visit your postal office for details. Bring your voted ballot sealed in its security and mailing envelopes. Make sure your election office’s address is legible.

This service applies to either your official state ballot or the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot, but note that the FWAB may only be used if you requested an absentee ballot but did not receive it. The FWAB is also available at your post office, and you can get your election office’s mailing address from your unit’s voting counselor or from www.fvap.gov. Some states allow ballots to arrive late if they’re postmarked before Election Day, but many do not. Don’t leave it to chance — your vote is too important!
