Two legal offices from the 21st Theater Support Command recently won the Judge Advocate General awards for Excellence in Claims.
The Mannheim and Kaiserslautern legal offices were two of 33 branches recognized by the Judge Advocate General of the Army. The awards, presented by Maj. Gen. Bennie Williams, 21st TSC commanding general, recognized outstanding claims offices based on their efficiency and service to the community.
“This recognition shows the level of experience and professionalism that is present in our legal division,” said Steven Smith, client services chief.
The offices are responsible for handling claims against the government – most of which deal with household goods shipments, he said.
The award is given annually at the Department of the Army level. The Mannheim office has won the award the past six years. This is the first year Kaiserslautern has been recognized.
