***image1***Each year, the Kaiserslautern County Administration office schedules two dates for the pick up of bulk trash in the towns and villages of the KMC.
Bulk trash includes all items residents would leave behind when moving and oversized items. Bulk items include carpets, big toys, plastic baskets, ovens, big suitcases, boxes and furniture.
Residents are asked to separate bulk trash into wooden and non-recyclable items. Two trucks will pick up the trash. Construction and renovation items such as stones, windows and doors, as well as trees, big branches, oil tanks, big barrels and car parts are not considered bulk trash.
The vehicles also won’t pick up recyclables such as cardboard and metal pieces and electrical appliances.
The bulk trash has to be placed at the edge of the street by 6 a.m. the day of the pick up and in a way pedestrians and traffic are not hindered.
