Ramstein 20, Würzburg 2
The Lady Royals turned in a dominating performance with a double-header sweep at home against Würzburg Saturday. Ramstein was led by Heather Steele who went 6-7 on the day. Ramstein also had victories from pitchers Victoria Apodoca and Jessica Apodoca.
Boys’ soccer
Lakenheath 1, Ramstein 0
The Royals played a solid defensive game at Lakenheath Saturday but couldn’t manage to put the ball in the net. Ramstein finished the season tied for third in division one.
ISB 3, K-Town 0
The Raiders couldn’t manage a goal as they were shutout by the International School of Brussels Saturday. ISB had good play at goalie in the game.
Girls’ soccer
Ramstein 6, Lakenheath 0
The Lady Royals finsished their season by shutting out Lakenheath. It was their sixth shutout and second in a row. Ramstein goalies Dallas Norman and Jennie Rindfleisch had exceptional games and Lauren Williams scored a hat trick.
K-Town 3, ISB 1
Liana Knight netted a hat trick and Paris Cervantes had a couple assist as the Lady Raiders finished their season with a big win over the ISB Saturday.
Track and field
The Ramstein boys’ team won their home meet Saturday with 239 points. The following athletes finished first in their events: James Hamlett (400 and 800 meter runs), Marquiston Showers (long and triple jump), Parker Cowles (1,500 meter run) and Danny Edwards (3,000 meter run).
The Ramstein girls’ team tied Heidelberg for first with 180 points Saturday. The following took first place in their events: Lorraine Tucker (1,500 and 3,000 meter runs), Ladashia McIntosh (100 and 300 meter hurdles), Krissy Grosselin (long jump and 800 meter run) and Jennifer Nielsen (triple jump).
The Kaisersalutern boys’ team won their meet with 204.5 points. The following finished first: Jamal Anene (800 and 1,500 meter runs), Gregory Thompson (300 meter hurdles and triple jump), Jeremy Marshall (110 meter hurdles) and Brian Hill (shot put).
The K-Town girls won their meet with 186 points. The following placed first: Lynndsey Hyter (long jump and triple jump), Dekia Moore (shot put and discus), LaNeesha Moore (400 meter run) and Teena Robinson (100 meter hurdles).
