Closures
• The Ramstein radiology department will be closed today for mandatory system upgrades. All radiology exams will be performed at the Landstuhl radiology department located on the first floor of LRMC, near the emergency room. For more information, call 314-590-5280 or 06371-9464-5280.
• The Ramstein Education Center will be closed today for a training event. Professional Military Education testing will still be conducted on this day. For emergencies, contact the education center’s after-hours number at 0173-978-8362.
• The KMC Housing Office and Furnishings Management Section will be closed Thursday and May 11, 16, 26 and 30 due to U.S. and German holidays and training days. For questions, call 489-6672.
Irregular Warfare Seminar
The 435th Contingency Response Support Squadron will hold the second Irregular Warfare Seminar Monday to Thursday. The seminar is open to all NATO and Department of Defense ID cardholders. Lectures will be daily from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Ramstein, Bldg. 2248. Guest lecturer will be Dr. William Dean III from Air University. For more information and reservations, call 480-2726.
Scheduled water outage
There will be a water outage from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday on Walter Reed Drive at Landstuhl that will affect Bldg. 3852. The city of Landstuhl has tasked a contractor to complete repairs on the main water pipes. For more information, contact the city of Landstuhl at 0172-780-2801.
US Consular Outreach Day
Passport Outreach Day is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 11 on Ramstein, Bldg. 2402. Representatives will be on-site to accept tourist passport and Consular Report of Birth Abroad applications and to answer questions relating to immigrant visas and social security. In addition, a citizenship and immigration briefing will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hercules Theater on Ramstein. On-site passport-photo support will be available for $8, but it is recommend you obtain photos prior to the event to minimize your wait time. The Ramstein, Kaiserslautern and Baumholder passport offices will be closed May 11 and will reopen on May 12 in order to fully support the event.
