Summer reading program kickoff
Rheinland-Pfalz Library is hosting a summer reading program to encourage reading throughout the summer months for library patrons of all ages. Come out to the summer reading program kick-off party at 11 a.m. June 16. Take this opportunity to learn more, sign up and receive your summer reading program game boards and other materials. Where in the Library is Vinicus?
In celebration of the “Read for the Win” summer reading program, Rheinland-Pfalz Library is hosting a fun challenge for children ages 12 and under. From June 16 to July 29, the library staff will hide their Olympic mascot, Vinicus, in a new location each day. The first child to find Vinicus wins a prize! No cost to participate. Youth Center summer activities
Looking for a fun way to keep your youth occupied during the summer months? U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Youth Programs offers several activities throughout summer for youth in grades 6 through 12. Visit Garmisch, Tropical Islands Resort, Italy or one of the many fun amusement parks in Germany. Programming runs from June 19 to August 27. Shark Week at Rheinland-Pfalz Library

KMC Teen Shuttle
Child, Youth and School Services offer a KMC Teen Shuttle service. Pick-up and drop-off points are located throughout Vogelweh, Vogelweh Housing, Ramstein and Landstuhl. ID card, shuttle card and permissions slips are required to ride the shuttle. Clubs at Landstuhl School Age Center
Did you know that Landstuhl School Age Center has several different clubs open to students, grades one to five? The different weekly clubs include cooking, sewing, robotics and film. Registration with Child, Youth and School Services is required. Enrollment fees are based on total family income. Kindermusik
Kindermusik is a musical program that nurtures young children’s development in the areas of language, social, emotional and physical skills. SKIESUnlimited offers Kindermusik classes in three age categories: Cuddle and Bounce, ages 0 to 18 months; Wiggle and Grow, ages 18 months to 3 years; and Laugh and Learn, ages 3 to 5 years. Open to all branches of service.
