Powwow at Lake Bostalsee
The 13th Native American powwow at the leisure center Bostalsee in Nohfelden-Bosen — west of Baumholder — takes place today through Sunday and Tuesday. Native Americans, trappers, ranchers and soldiers live in their tipis, lodges and tents. Hobby Native Americans and hobby cowboys come from throughout Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and France to be part of this event. Activities start at 4 p.m. today. At 7 p.m. the band Lunchbox presents country music. At 8 p.m. the Native Americans present stunts on horses. Starting at noon Saturday and Sunday, musical performances, riding shows and Native American dances can be seen throughout the day. Vendors offer furs, leather jackets, hats, flags and Native American jewelry. Tuesday is a holiday in that region, and festivities continue with the band Country Crash at 4 p.m. Daily tickets cost €8 for adults and €4 for children. For details, visit www.indianer-powwow.de.

• The Jugenheimer Musikfreunde 2001 present a “bouquet of melodies,” in the blue music pavilion, 11 a.m. to
1 p.m. Sunday. A bistro serves snacks and beverages. An adventure playground is next to the blue music pavilion.

SWR radio studio, Emmerich-Smola-Platz 1, Kaiserslautern:

Museum fest
The Rundfunkmuseum, broadcasting museum in Muenchweiler/Alsenz, Muehlstrasse 18, sponsors a museum fest with a flea market Sunday. The radio and television flea market starts 7 a.m. and the fest at
