Mubin Shaikh, a counter-terrorism operative, will be sharing an inside perspective of extremist organizations on 25 April from noon – 1 p.m., and again at 2:30 – 3:30 p.m., at the Hercules Theater on Ramstein.
Baumholder Tax Center
File your taxes before April 17. The Baumholder Tax Center is located at Bldg. 8222 and is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please bring all W-2s, 1099s, and other income documents, social security card for yourself and dependents, employer-provided health insurance coverage, direct deposit account information, and any other necessary documents. New process, new hours
The Ramstein Visitor Control Center recently changed processes on issuing passes. The VCC now issues passes with a scannable barcode. These passes are valid for one to three days and may be used at any KMC Air Force or KMC Army installation. Any request longer than three days will require customers to receive a long-term pass. Customers should understand with the new process, waiting times may be longer than usual. The VCC changed its operating hours. It opens at 6 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m., seven days a week. After hours, customers may still sign in guests at the west gate. The sponsor must be registered in IACS to sign in visitors. Furthermore, ID card holders who forget their ID may also be searched in IACS and be granted base access. For more information, visit ramsteinvisitorcenter.com

Retiree Activities Office
The 86th Retiree Activities Office and the KMC Retiree Counsel will present the next “What the Surviving Spouse/Family Member Needs to Know” Workshop on Saturday in the USAFE/AFRICOM Conference Center in Bldg. 306A starting at 10 a.m. and ending approximately 2 p.m. The purpose of the workshop is to prepare and provide the surviving spouse/family member of those actions that need to be planned in the event of a causality and those actions to take when a causality happens.
