Preparations for the 55th annual Ramstein Bazaar have already begun. Mark your calendars for Sept. 12 to 15.
Beginning on May 16 at 6 p.m. , the Ramstein Bazaar Committee will be accepting online applications from private organizations that would like to be Food Vendors for the 2019 Bazaar. Private organizations that are chosen will cook and sell their choice of food items for four days on the flightline to thousands of Bazaar visitors. Each private organization keeps 100 percent of their profits to benefit their group.
As this is an 86th Force Support Squadron event that is produced by the Ramstein Officers’ Spouses Club, all business must be authorized with 86th FSS. Registered private organizations which have not already used their three quarterly fundraisers are eligible to apply for a food vendor spot. If you are unsure whether you qualify, contact the 86th FSS Private Organization Office. Private organizations that are registered with 86th FSS will receive an informational email detailing how to access the online application. Please ensure 86th FSS has up-to-date contact information for your organization so you do not miss this great fundraising opportunity.
Before applying, the Ramstein Bazaar Committee recommends organizations are prepared with:
Non-military phone numbers and email addresses for two points of contact (one POC must be a first sergeant, superintendent, or commander/director)
A list of at least four different food items your organization would like to sell at the Bazaar, in order of preference.
The Ramstein Bazaar Committee will limit particular food items to one or two vendors (i.e., only two vendors will be allowed to sell hot dogs or bratwurst) to provide bazaar patrons with the greatest variety of food options.
Private organizations will be notified by email of their application status once the private organizations and food choices have been approved by 86th FSS and Public Health.
Selected private organizations will be required to pay a 200 dollars space fee. Organizations that are chosen must also participate in two mandatory meetings (Food Vendor Selection & Food Safety Briefing), which will be held in June and August, respectively. At the June meeting, the space fee of 200 dollars will be collected. At the August meeting, organizations will be required to submit an additional check for 250 dollars as a refundable cleaning fee. Please note, failure to attend either meeting will forfeit your space at the Bazaar!
