Bike the Mosel Valley

Bike down the Mosel River from the town of Kesten to Bernkastel-Kues, passing steeply sloped vineyards and quaint castles as we make our way downstream. These trips are a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the weather, journey through one of the most famous wine regions in Germany. An adventurous spirit is recommended for all participants. Experience is not required! After we get off the river, we will make a stop at the shops and stores in Bernkastel-Kues will be open.

Halloween at Tivoli Gardens – Copenhagen Express

Boppard Klettersteig
Oct. 19

Cost: $39; Age: 14+ with parent; Pre-register by Wednesday prior; Includes: Transportation, equipment & instruction

Join us on a fantastic clif-face traverse above the Rhine River! On this klettersteig (German word for climbing w/kit) we ascend the fxed steel cable and ladder rungs. If at any time climbing becomes too much, you can parallel the clif on an adjacent path. This trip is combination of klettersteig and traditional hiking; 5 technical kilometers long with an elevation gain of approximately 800 feet. Bring lunch and euro for potential apres-hike dining along the Rhine! Dress for the weather and bring at least one liter of water in a small daypack. Great photo opportunities guaranteed!

French/German Border Hike

Join Ramstein Outdoor Recreation for a day of hiking in the forests of France and Germany. We will hike for about 7-10 kilometers along steep and at times, physically demanding trails which will take us to several 12thcentury castle ruins. We will have lunch on top of one of the ruins with a commanding view of the surrounding terrain. Weather and season permitting we will have the ability to explore one of the castles with intact halls, corridors and rooms! Extra fee 4.50 euro associated with main castle entry; bring euro. Please pack a sack lunch for on the trail.
