NSPS leadership training opportunity

Important for senior leaders is recognizing and advocating that the bottom line for success under the National Security Personnel System stems from effective communication.

With this in mind, the Civilian Human Resource Agency, Europe is offering two sessions of “Getting to YES Under NSPS.”

The first session will be July 7 and 8 and the second session will be July 10 and 11. Both will be conducted at the IMCOM Europe Workforce Development Center across from Tompkins Barracks, between Mannheim and Heidelberg.

This course will do the following:
• Offer tools for helping
increase employee motivation
• Show techniques for
mastering active commun-
ication skills
• Explore the dynamics of performance dialogues, SMART Objectives, self and supervisory assessments
• Increase awareness through lessons-learned and/or exploring special scenarios
The target audience includes managers and supervisors who are rating officials.
Training will be conducted by Nancy Adelis from Southport, N.C. As a skilled presenter of NSPS leadership training, Ms. Adelis has taught this course at Ft. Bragg, Ft. Monmouth, Ft. Belvoir and Ft. Huachuca.

There is no tuition to attend this centrally-funded training. TDY will be the responsibility of the sending organization. Registrations are being accepted via the CHRTAS application system at www.atrrs.army.mil/channels/chrtas/default.asp?page=main.asp.
