Making new friends, wine fests, scenic landscapes, snowcapped mountains. Wait a minute! Who thinks about snow in August? The Tannenbaum Ski & Social Club certainly does, but we think about all those other things too. That’s why we’re hosting our annual membership pizza social at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Ramstein Officers’ Club. We’ll be providing pizza, beverages and plenty of fun, so come join us for more information on our exciting new season.
So you don’t ski or snowboard? Well, you don’t have to do either to have fun with us. Tannenbaum’s sole purpose is to provide its members an opportunity to enjoy Europe. We open up our season in September by providing excursions to the famous Bernkastel-Kues and Bad Dürkeim weinfests. Each year’s Oktoberfest trips to München are a sell-out, and this year proves to be no different, so we’ve also added Stuttgart’s Cannstatter-Volkfest to this year’s packed schedule.
Whether you want to tackle the Alps on your snowboard or skis or perhaps you prefer taking in the spectacular mountain views while sipping on hot Glühwein, we have a multitude of trips from which you can choose.
We begin the ski season by testing new skis and snowboards for free in Sölden, Austria. Two of our most popular tours take members and guests to Zermatt, Switzerland, or Stubaital Glacier, Austria, over Thanksgiving weekend where we even throw in a traditional American Thanksgiving feast with turkey, trimmings and dessert.
The season-ending trip to Ischgl is another sell-out where we enjoy a fantastic live concert, featuring some of today’s hot artists, on top of the scenic mountainscape.
There are a dozen more trips and exciting locations to choose from, so why not come to our membership picnic and see for yourself?
Membership entitles you and/or your family to our reduced club trip packages, refreshments and entertainment at the bi-monthly general membership meetings and a TSC year book.
Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month (September through May) at the Ramstein Officers’ Club.
