The Family Advocacy Program helps couples strengthen their marital relationship, and parents to manage conflicts and behavioral problems with their children.
Treatment and prevention of family violence at Ramstein is a focus of the program. As part of helping families and preventing violence, Family Advocacy offers a variety of classes and workshops which are free to the community.
Several parenting classes are offered throughout the year. These classes focus on various ages such as infancy through preschoolers, school age children and teens.
Anger management class is offered monthly, while stress management is held quarterly. A marriage enrichment series is also offered three times a year.
Strengthening Your Stepfamily, a new class, is being offered. Some of the issues the series focuses on are the stepparent and stepchild relationship, problems and potential of your new family and the marital relationship.
The only requirement for attendance at upcoming classes is to register with the Family Advocacy Program at 479-2370 or 06371-46-2370. All classes are located at the FAP Office Bldg. 2121 southeast entrance.
