First Sergeants’ corner
We are not the hair police, but you and I, Airmen and wingmen, must not allow unauthorized display of hair styles while in uniform. Women’s hair must be styled to present a professional appearance.

Conservative hairpins, combs, headbands, elastic bands and barrettes are authorized.

Hair pins and bands must match hair color.  Long hair will be secured with no loose ends.  Ensure the hair does not extend below the bottom edge of the shirt collar regardless of length.  Men must have a tapered appearance on both sides and back, both with and without headgear.

The key to all of this is having a professional appearance.
If you need help, your first sergeant will be more than willing to let you know if your hairstyle is professional or not.
