Ramstein supports Rapid Falcon

U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Tim Gaston, 37th Airlift Squadron loadmaster, guides a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System onto a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft at Ramstein Air Base, Nov. 19. The 37th AS supported exercise Rapid Falcon, a training and readiness exercise involving U.S. and Romanian army field artillery units at Mihail Kogalniceanu Airbase, Romania. The training will support the ability to conduct Dynamic Force Employment across the Joint Force.

Rapid Falcon is a bilateral, joint training event that involves rapid infiltration of two U.S. military HIMARS and personnel to conduct a quick raid-type fire mission, followed by a rapid reloading of the aircraft and departure from the area.

The 41st Field Artillery Brigade is part of the 77th Field Artillery Regiment, which was reactivated in Grafenwoehr, Germany, in September 2020. Exercise Rapid Falcon is the unit’s second live-fire event since reactivation.
