Cooking with Command

Cooking with Command is a new virtual series aimed at bringing the community together and uniting families with a fun evening of cooking and storytelling. For the upcoming segment, the focus is on two very important events in May, Military Spouse Appreciation Day and Mother’s Day. The event will center on family-related discussion between a special guest and the chef as they work together to create a delicious meal worthy of the amazing women in our lives. Virtual Wine Tasting-Italy

Did you miss out on the original Italian Virtual Wine tasting with Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation? Or did you just enjoy it so much you want to do it again? Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has partnered with Soicieta’ Agricola Spada from Verona, Italy, to bring the sweet life to you for a second time on May 14 at 7:30 p.m.! Your local guide will help you experience 4 different Italian vintages with the appropriate palate cleansing delights, all while describing the various products and unique details of the wine country near Verona. Virtual wine Tasting-French Wines

Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has partnered with Bourse aux Vins, to bring more French Joie de Vivre to you. Join them on May 29 at 7 p.m. for an online evening filled with delicious French wines and specialty sausages and cheeses from the safety and comfort of your own home. Presented in a virtual environment, your local guide will help you have an all new experience with 3 French dry reds, a dry white, 2 specialty sausages and palate cleansing cheeses, all while explaining the unique characteristics of French wine. Mother’s Day Special at Sembach Community Activity Center

On May 9, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., treat the special mom(s) in your life to an elegant meal offered by the Sembach Community Activity Center, Bldg. 220 (SCAC). Enjoy some mid-morning, early afternoon favorites, with a wide selection of brunch-style favorites. Order your favorite selections to-go from these various menu choices offered: pot roast, grilled lemon chicken, sautéed shrimp and pasta, made-to-order eggs, omelets, sausage & cheese breakfast casserole, pancakes, bacon, variety of sausages, roasted potatoes, fresh steamed green beans, fresh asparagus & feta pasta salad, cheesecake with strawberry topping, blueberry coffee cake, coffee & tea. Escape from Lockdown Bazaar: The bazaar is back with vendors from across Europe!

If you miss shopping for all the great items that Europe has to offer, or just need to get out of the house, we have the solution! Shop the Escape from Lockdown Bazaar, May 14-16, and take advantage of this safe and convenient tax-free shopping experience for eligible patrons. Conveniently located at the Pulaski Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 (right above the Pulaski Park), 2 large outdoor tents and 3 buildings filled with great items await you and your family! There will be a multitude of vendors offering everything from pottery, antiques, wine, cheese, jewelry, and so much more. Health and safety mitigations will be in place and enforced. All prices are in U.S. Dollars, with Euros, debit and credit cards accepted. Open to U.S. I.D. cardholders only. Strollers are welcome inside the two large tents, and stroller parking will be available while you shop inside the three buildings. Aquatic Center now open for active duty only!

The Baumholder Aquatic Center is now open (for active duty members only). Their new hours of operation are: Tuesday/Thursday from 6:30-8:30 a.m. (Unit PT and lap swim) and 2:30-7 p.m. (Recreational swim and lap swim). Wednesday 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m. (Unit PT/Trainings and lap swim). Friday 11 a.m.-7 p.m. (Recreation swim and lap swim). Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (Recreation swim and lap swim). Health and safety mitigation will be in place including a maximum capacity of 25 patrons (15 in the water and 10 on the pool deck). Fitness centers now have extended hours

Spring Vehicle Safety Day

Head over to the Pulaski Automotive Skills Center, May 14 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. where they are offering a FREE automotive inspection for their Spring Vehicle Safety Day! Pull up for a bumper-to-bumper vehicle checkup by a professional mechanic with no cost to you. This service is open to service members, family members, and civilians with a m ilitary ID card and a USAREUR registered vehicle. Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month

Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, observed each April, is a campaign that aims to increase awareness about the causes and risk factors for sexual assault and empowers individuals to take steps to prevent it in their communities. Army Community Service and the SHARP Program are teaming up with the USAG-RP Libraries to raise awareness about sexual violence. This month, each library will have a special collection of books on display that addresses rape culture, management of trauma, prevention and intervention within various demographics. Painting with Emilee

Each month you can create a new masterpiece and pick up some handy tips along the way when you paint your own artwork with Emilee, all from the comfort of your home! Please note, no more than three customers are allowed in the Baumholder office at a time and only one at a time at the Kleber Location.
