Christmas Markets in Germany are back! They may look slightly different this year as hygiene guidelines remain in place, but all the fan favorites will be there to get you in the spirit.
Christmas markets in Germany are a feast for the senses. The sweet scent of gingerbread will seep through romantic alleys of fairy-lit historic town centers while wooden booths offer culinary delights such as mulled wine, sausages and roasted nuts along with cookware, clothes, handmade gifts and much more.
Even though hygiene rules may vary depending on which market you’re attending, please be prepared to wear a mask when you’re not eating or drinking unless signs state otherwise and keep your distance from other groups. Adhering to these rules is key to allowing everyone to enjoy this beloved German tradition.
