The Palatia Jazz Festival, taking place in South-West Germany near Kaiserslautern, Heidelberg and Mannheim, offers its visitors a great musical experience in a truly unique atmosphere.
Until August, the festival presents world-famous jazz artists in historic locations, such as castles, churches, monasteries and historic parks. This year’s program includes artists such as jazz legend Abdullah Ibrahim (in Pirmasens, July 4), bebop great Roy Hargrove (in Annweiler, July 12) and the funk-jazz group Nils Landgren Funk Unit (in Kusel, Aug. 8).
Located in one of the most romanic and beautiful areas of Germany, the festival offers the unique opportunity to experience world-class jazz in the amazing countryside with romantic wine-hills, picturesque villages and Mediterranean atmospheres.
