The Zoar housing facility (Wohnanlage) at Volkspark, a home for mentally ill people, sponsors a German-American summer festival from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
The fest features various fun games and activities for all age groups, including pony rides and a square dance performance. Members of the KMC will provide an American barbecue as well as coffee and cake.
The Ramstein Fire Department will also have one of its fire trucks on display. Furthermore, the Engelhardt-West Quartet and the Zoar choir and drumming group will perform live from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
Personnel will provide guided tours of the facility to interested visitors, also in English.
Zoar is located in Kaiserslautern on Entersweiler Strasse 2, down the road from the duck pond.
