The Kaiserslautern Garden Fair will host a summer night fest Saturday. Activities will start at 7 p.m. and take place all over the area.

In Neumühlepark, various caterers will serve special summer delicacies such as flammkuchen and crepes and cocktails, wines, prosecco and sparkling wines.
“We have three renowned bands, which provide the musical entertainment from 7 p.m. until around midnight,” said Sandra Laux from the Kaiserslautern Garden Fair. “They perfom on our open-air stage in Neumühlepark and in the willow church on Kaiserberg hill.”

The blues band Tin Pan Alley starts the evening entertainment at 7 p.m. on the open-air stage. At 9 p.m., local renowned musicians Stephan Flesch & Friends will perform rock and pop and cover songs by James Taylor, Phil Collins and Elton John.
The band Nimm 2 will present pop and classic rock at 8 p.m. in the willow church, which will be illuminated.

“Of course, we don’t want to forget our little ones,” Mrs. Laux said. A children’s program is offered from 7 to 9 p.m. in the kids’ tent. “Children can craft colorful lanterns and then use those to experience the areas, which are not illuminated during our fest.”

The highlight of the summer night fest is the “Pyromania” fire show with burning torches, fire lightning and special effects in the entrance area of the park.
Tickets for the fest cost €3 for adults and €1.50 for children.

Visitors who own a season ticket or TWK card are admitted free, Mrs. Laux said.
The next fest, an All American Garden Party with barbecue and live music, is scheduled for Aug. 15. For more information, visit gartenschau-kl.de.
