In light of today’s economic environment, many of us are concerned about our current financial status and how we will meet some of our future financial goals, including retirement.
The Thrift Savings Plan is a program designed to help federal employees plan and invest for the future.
On Sept. 2, the Airman & Family Readiness Center will host two mass briefings in the Hercules Theater for those interested in expanding their knowledge about TSP. This is your opportunity to have your burning questions answered. Paula Gradwell, TSP liaison specialist from the Thrift Savings Board in Washington, D.C., will be a guest speaker at the event.
This will be a two part briefing. Part one, “Money-In,” takes place from 9 to 11 a.m. and provides an introduction to the TSP, explains the benefits of the program, types of funds and understanding your participant statements. Part II, “Money-Out,” will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. and will cover the TSP Loan Program, in-service withdrawal options, post service withdrawal options, spouses rights and death benefits. Pre-registration is not required for theses briefings.
