Koi fish will be floating around the Japanese garden and there will be special activities for kids, including a tree ghost scavenger hunt. There will also be a lecture (in German) about Bonsai art for kids from 3.30 to 4.30 p.m. The opening hours of the garden will be extended to 7 p.m. during the summer.

Every year the Cultural Department of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz presents a Cultural Summer with a wide range of events. The opening will take place on May 12 in Trier. The city center will turn into on giant open-air stage. There will be theater, art, street acts and music, workshops and games in front of the Basilica. Under the motto “Compass Europe – Let’s go West” there will be bands and theater groups from Luxembourg, France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Scotland. A Fringe Theater Festival will take place at Kornmarkt with a circus, physical theater and walking acts. Almost all events are free of cost and outside. Don’t miss out on this exciting weekend!
