Germans, Americans honor 9/11 victims during memorial stair climb

Airmen from Ramstein Air Base participated in a stair climb ruck march in honor of the firefighters and paramedics who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on Sep. 11, 2001, at Fritz-Walter Stadium in Kaiserslautern, Sep. 11. The event attracted approximately 60 attendees including U.S. Army Soldiers and firefighters from Kaiserslautern, Germany’s fire protection service. In total, 343 first responders died in New York City while working to rescue victims trapped in the World Trade Center following the attacks.
