Ramstein hosts symposium for first responders

First responders from around the Kaiserslautern Military Community and the Rhineland-Palatinate listen to a briefing about emergency response at Ramstein Air Base, Sep. 16. Hess-Schmidt attended the symposium because she is responsible for disaster protection in the County of Kaiserslautern and wanted to see how U.S. and German first responders work together to provide better services to local inhabitants and prepare for disasters.
