Fall carnival
Children’s Learning Academy hosts its annual fall carnival from 5 to 8 p.m.
Oct. 23 at Siedlungstr. 19b in Mackenbach. The carnival is open to everyone. Bring the kids and make sure to wear costumes for the costume contest (ages 1-10). Activities include costume photos, food and beverages, face painting, games, prizes and more. Tickets for the activities may be purchased at the event.

LEMS flea market
The Landstuhl Elementary/Middle School PTSA is sponsoring a flea market from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday in the school cafeteria and parking circle. Tables and trunk sales are open to all ID cardholders.

Awareness walk
A Girl Scout Breast Cancer Awareness Walk will be held rain or shine from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Pulaski Barracks PT track. A Girl Scout patch and T-shirt will be available for purchase. This is a non-profit event that is open to the entire KMC to raise awareness about breast cancer.

Rummage sale
Vogelweh Elementary School will be holding a Rummage Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Oct. 31 in the cafeteria. Tables are $20 each and can be reserved by e-mailing Tiffanie_Warder@yahoo.com or ptsa.vogelweh@eu.dodea.edu.

Now registering
• Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is registering now for traditional courses that have various start dates from Oct. 24 through Nov. 4. In addition, graduate November online registration deadline is Tuesday, and undergraduate November online registration deadline is Oct. 31.

• Registration for Central Texas College face-2-face courses for Term II is in effect
today; class start dates are from Oct. 26 to Dec. 18.

• UMUC Registration takes place until Oct. 26 for Fall Session II, and course start dates are Oct. 26 to Dec. 20.

• Registration for University of Phoenix is on a continuous basis. Contact the university for additional Information on specific courses.

• University of Oklahoma registration is ongoing for the Fall 2009 courses. Contact the university for information on specific courses.

Dental assisting program
The Ramstein Dental Clinic starts the next American Red Cross Dental Assisting Volunteer Program Nov. 2. The program is seven months, full time. This program is open to dependent ID card holders with a high school diploma or equivalent. Information, applications and interview slots will be given out. For more
