Volunteerism
How important is volunteerism for military members? Military volunteers provide essential work in the communities. They also enhance a strong military/community relationship that is always important.
Volunteerism is even more important when assigned to an overseas location. Volunteering in an overseas community can help strengthen the relationship between the United States and our allied countries.
There are many opportunities to serve the local community here in Germany. To find out what opportunities are available, contact your local United Service Organizations, the American Red Cross, the Fisher House at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center or ask the leadership in your squadron.
Be visible in your community … volunteer!
