I remember when I first arrived in Germany. I was stationed at Zweibrücken Air Base.
The language, the German stores – it was all a little overwhelming.
Now, I’m retired from the Air Force and live here with my wife. Shopping in Germany has become second nature to me but I still remember how you feel.
And, here it is the day after Thanksgiving and the kickoff to the holiday season. Where should you go, what should you buy?
For the first time, AdvantiPro, publisher of the Kaiserslautern American and other military newspapers, presents a special holiday edition to its KMC readers. We wanted to give you a few ideas for the holidays – recipes, a list of German Christmas markets and some gift ideas, which might make a certain someone very happy to receive in his or her holiday stocking this year. (I know there are a few things on the list that I’ve got my eye on.)
AdvantiPro and the Kaiserslautern American staffs are very happy to serve the KMC and we hope you enjoy this first special holiday edition. Let us know what you think: editor@kaiserslauternamerican.com
Happy holidays,
John Thompson
Managing Director
