Army Medical Readiness Command, Europe — Ensuring medical readiness of the fighting force

More than 60 U.S. military and civilian medical leaders, providers, and planners from all branches of service from across the European theater assembled in Landstuhl, Germany Feb. 6 – 8 to take part in the first-ever Medical Readiness Command, Europe Strategic Medical Offsite. The host for the offsite was U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Roger Giraud, commander of Medical Readiness Command, Europe, and director of Defense Health Network Europe. During his opening remarks, Giraud emphasized the importance of convergence, unity of effort, and collaboration among the uniformed medical services.
GARMISCH, Germany – More than 300 U.S. military medical leaders, healthcare providers and civilian medical counterparts from across Europe, Africa and the continental United States took part in the 2024 Health and Readiness Symposium held Nov. 5 – 8 in Garmisch, Germany. The primary focus of the symposium was on building excellence in healthcare, innovation, and readiness among U.S. military medical forces in Europe and Africa as well as enhancing readiness through quality patient outcomes and military population health.

SOUDA BAY, Greece – Two Soldiers from Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) had the opportunity to take part in maritime medical combat training in Greece June 3 to 14. Sgt. 1st Class David Shrewsbury and Staff Sgt. William White from LRMC were among a group of more than 20 military medics from several NATO countries taking part in the training.
